On Saturday i tripped over to Daylesford for the maker's market... what a really, really nice day.
The day's good stuff = a tranquil and beautiful drive in the early morning light, the organisers excellent choice of background music (a mellow mix which included an old fave of mine, Billy Bragg), the Bees Knees Brownie Company brownies which got me through the mid-afternoon lull, a lovely neighbour to chat to and discovering the work of artist Clare Whitney. Clare's work is amazing and before the market had even started i'd purchased a few bits-n-pieces from her (although, if my husband asks i, of course, did no such thing). I've arranged them in a nice little group above my desk for some colour and inspiration. There's also another print that i intend to frame and near my piano.
The day's not-so-good stuff = the alarm going off too early for my liking and attempting to put foundation on over sleep creases. Yeah, so classy.
Do note that as i write this i am devouring a Bees Knees Brownie Company brownie purchased at the market too... and indeed thy brownies are the bees knees, the cat's pyjamas and whatever other random creature's bits you'd like to attribute to them too.
