Tell me... if you are reading a book and it's really not doing it for you, do you persist anyway, hoping that it will get better? Must you see it through to the bitter end? Do you resent time wasted on a book that ends up being highly unsatisfying?
Or do you cut your losses and move on? I most definately follow the "life's too short to persist with a bad book" school of thought.
On the other hand, there are a select few books that i go back to time and time again. Do you have favourites that seem to offer something new each time you read them? That are like catching up with an old friend every time you open the cover?
